In The Shadow of the Cross
Ultimate Joy
Oh the joy...the Ultimate joy!
In serving Thee, My Lord,
Praise you Father, Holy One,
Forever be Thou adored.
Tis the yearning of my heart within
To see Your precious Will complete,
I bring You Lord, these great desires
And place them at Your feet.
Unworthy am I, Father
Of the love You've shown toward me,
For all I have is brokenness,
In return to offer Thee.
May I never, never fail You,
Oh Thy Name be glorified!
For I know the hope of my tomorrows,
Is not to be denied.
Why Lord have You chosen me,
Your blessings to bestow?
I'm one child - insignificant,
My Lord, I'm humbled so.
And Jesus, how I praise Thee,
For the sacrifice You made,
For You gave Your life at Calvary
That I, too, might be saved.
It's awesome Lord, I can't begin
To understand Your ways,
May Your grace surround me now,
Till the ultimate of days...
When Your Plan has been accomplished,
And I've gained the Victory
Oh Father God, I thank You,
For the love You've shown to me!
In serving Thee, My Lord,
Praise you Father, Holy One,
Forever be Thou adored.
Tis the yearning of my heart within
To see Your precious Will complete,
I bring You Lord, these great desires
And place them at Your feet.
Unworthy am I, Father
Of the love You've shown toward me,
For all I have is brokenness,
In return to offer Thee.
May I never, never fail You,
Oh Thy Name be glorified!
For I know the hope of my tomorrows,
Is not to be denied.
Why Lord have You chosen me,
Your blessings to bestow?
I'm one child - insignificant,
My Lord, I'm humbled so.
And Jesus, how I praise Thee,
For the sacrifice You made,
For You gave Your life at Calvary
That I, too, might be saved.
It's awesome Lord, I can't begin
To understand Your ways,
May Your grace surround me now,
Till the ultimate of days...
When Your Plan has been accomplished,
And I've gained the Victory
Oh Father God, I thank You,
For the love You've shown to me!
Triumph of the Cross
The triumph of the cross, just think!
Christ bore it all that day,
For I, in fact, was born in sin,
Unworthy to wash my guilt away.
But God's own Son was justified
To become my sacrifice,
How great must be His love toward us,
That He paid so high a price.
And now I'm free - Oh praise His name!
For when I recognized my need,
Christ's blood supplied my pardon,
That very moment I first believed.
And yet there's so much more I find,
To the triumph of the Tree,
Christ came that I'd have happiness,
Living now in victory.
That means trusting in His Promise,
There need not be defeat,
For my strength lies in my Savior's joy,
As I sit there at His feet.
The Storm
When problems loom before us
And uncertainties cloud our view,
This may be prerequisite
For a dawning to renew.
For often it will take a storm
With its raging force displayed,
To turn our eyes toward Heaven
For God's Will to be conveyed.
We'll suffer for a season
As the fury mounts its peak,
Yet through the thunder we will hear
Our Heavenly Father speak.
Giving us direction
As though the lightening from above,
Will illuminate our darkness
And fill our hearts with love.
Then all at once we'll marvel
As the tempest winds subside,
For the Power God made manifest
Can never be denied.
Solutions we have longed for
Will be waiting 'round the bend,
And for our prayerful vigilance
We'll see God's sanction in the end.
The panorama then before us...
Magnificent will it be!
Holds the promise of the Rainbow
God will paint for you and me.
And uncertainties cloud our view,
This may be prerequisite
For a dawning to renew.
For often it will take a storm
With its raging force displayed,
To turn our eyes toward Heaven
For God's Will to be conveyed.
We'll suffer for a season
As the fury mounts its peak,
Yet through the thunder we will hear
Our Heavenly Father speak.
Giving us direction
As though the lightening from above,
Will illuminate our darkness
And fill our hearts with love.
Then all at once we'll marvel
As the tempest winds subside,
For the Power God made manifest
Can never be denied.

Will be waiting 'round the bend,
And for our prayerful vigilance
We'll see God's sanction in the end.
The panorama then before us...
Magnificent will it be!
Holds the promise of the Rainbow
God will paint for you and me.
