After great consideration, prayer, and preparation, we have made the decision to open our Church facility for congregational worship services this Sunday, May 17 at 10:30am. This decision was based on ability to meet or exceeded CDC guidelines for our membership and communities safety. Such as:
We recognize that every Church is different and therefore not every congregation can or should open. Some of the things we have done, as well as what our facility offers, we believe gives us this opportunity to begin congregating within our state’s yellow phase guidelines. Such as:
Both the main service (10:30am) and Sunday Groups (9:30am) will be available online or in person. For info about your group visit pccog.org/groups.
Children’s ministry will not be available. Children will remain with their parents. Service will be between 45-60 minutes.
We recognize that even as we gather together, the dynamic of worship will be different. This Sunday we will begin in engaging that difference and trusting the Lord to lead us into being a “Better Normal and a Better Church.”
- The building being sanitized and cleaned.
- “Touchless” entries and exits.
- An abundance of hand sanitizing stations and bottles.
- Requiring six foot distancing, and wearing of masks while on Church properties.
- Seating spacing and safeguard instructions.
We recognize that every Church is different and therefore not every congregation can or should open. Some of the things we have done, as well as what our facility offers, we believe gives us this opportunity to begin congregating within our state’s yellow phase guidelines. Such as:
- We have and continue to promote a “soft opening.” We would prefer the majority of our people to remain home and participate with us through our online service. Those who are at a high health risk or work in high risk public arena SHOULD NOT attend but continue to participate with us online.
- We have nine different entries and exits to our building. We are encouraging people to spread out and use entryways and exits that are least congested. We are asking people who are most familiar with the building layout to use the furthest exits.
- We offer a large sanctuary with four annexes and eight different seating sections within the sanctuary. Spacing of families, couples, and individuals, should not be an issue. We do need everyone to RESPECT THE SIX FOOT SOCIAL DISTANCING AND KEEP A MASK ON AT ALL TIMES.
