Journeying Together Toward Christ

The Purpose of Home Groups….Our Home Groups are unique blends of people who journey, love, and learn together to become more like Jesus. Each one is a unique expression of Praise Cathedral and helps to reflect our mission as a church. As such, Home Groups are great places to connect, belong, and engage with others.

Connect…It's easy to get "lost" in a Sunday morning worship service and we can leave without connecting with other believers. Our Home Groups are an ideal place to connect with other believers, which is paramount to your faith formation. The Bible clearly instructs us that we need each other. Our spiritual growth depends on our being connected. When we gather with others in small groups, we can know and care for each other the way God desires.

Belong…One of the basic needs of mankind is the sense of belonging. We all have a need to belong. At Praise Cathedral's Home Groups, you will find a place that will love and accept you and make you feel important, because you are!

Engage…This is where real growth takes place. As we engage in meaningful relationships, we are challenged in our faith, which prods us on to a greater level of maturity in Christ. Jesus engaged people and challenged them in their understanding of God. It is in this environment that we "work out our salvation" and grow to become more like Christ.

The church in Acts went from house to house breaking bread (Acts 2:46, 5:42). This is where genuine community and intimacy is developed. It is in the safe setting of a small group that people find love, support, and encouragement in their walk with the Lord, as well as in dealing with common issues that we all face in our daily lives.
