Ministry to Israel - Jerusalem Ministry Center
September 3, 2010
Our Missions Team felt that it was important for Praise Cathedral to support Israel and
after researching different options, we chose the Jersualem Ministry Center which is
directed by Michael Utterback. Monthly Director Utterback sends us an update letter
and I've included a portion here for your enjoyment. If you would like a copy of his
complete letter, please email the churchoffice@pccog.org
"Please pray for Israel right now. There is a lot of tension in the North at the Lebanese
border. It is obvious that Hezbollah is trying to draw Israel into a full scale war. Their
tactic is to do something to get Israel to attack in a large way then cry to the world that
Israel attacked first. In recent months Hezbollah has amassed over 30,000 of their trained
terrorists at the border. In the 2006 war, they only had 14,000. Their rockets now can reach
all of Israel with guidance systems, which were not on most of the rockets fired in the last
war. Thank you so much for being such a consistent friend to this nation. Israel needs
our prayers and support as much as ever. Many Blessings On You, Michael Utterback"

Puerto Cabezas Nicaragua School
Praise Cathedral's Mission Team introduced
us to Richard and Carolyn Becton in March
2008. Their plans included building two
school buildings for the Miskito Indian
children living in Puerto Cabezas Nicaragua.
January 2009 our Mission Team of 12 arrived
to begin building the first building which is
pictured here. In February 2010 our Mission
Team of 9 arrived to see the school packed
with children and excited for their opportunity
to learn! On May 10, 2010 construction on the SECOND school building began! Your
contributions to Missions help these children Every Single Day and give them a chance
to improve their lives. Jesus Loves the Little Children, All the Children of the World!

Glad Tidings India Update
Praise Cathedral will be supporting M. Jeyaraj who will be our Church Planter in
Tamil Nadu India. Tamil Nadu is the most southeasterly state with the Bay of
Bengal boarding the East Coast. Chennai, the capital, has a population of 6 million
and 88% are non-Christian. Large segments of the population of Tamil Nadu remain
unreached. Few of the major people groups have more than a few hundred known
believers and at least 10 tribal groups are without churches. Tamil Nadu has a
poplulation of 65.3 million and their religion is 88.6% Hindu, 5.5% Muslim and
5.7% Christian. Please keep M. Jeyaraj in your prayers as he works to plant this
church in Tamil Nadu.

The Gift of Music!
Pastors in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua
attended a conference and were
surprised with the Gift of Music! Five
Pastors received brand new Guitars
donated by Praise Cathedral and
delivered by our Missions Team.
The Pastor's churches are along the
Eastern coast of Nicaragua in remote
locations, and they do not have access
to electricity. Sunday's Praise and
Worship includes "sounds" from
home-made instruments to accompany
their singing. These Guitars will replace the "sounds" with Praise and Worship MUSIC!
The Pastor's were very excited to receive this Gift of Music...Glory A Dios!

Exciting News from Nicaragua!
February 27th our Praise Cathedral Mission Team
left Puerto Cabezas leaving the congregation of
Nuevo Jerusalem Church the task of completing
the construction of their church roof. Richard and
Carolyn Becton returned to Puerto Cabezas
yesterday to find the roof HALF completed! It is
so Exciting to SEE God answer prayers! This
community will be changed forever because
YOU supported Missions!
The Praise Cathedral Softball Teams purchased 5 Dozen Baseballs for Richard and Carolyn
to give to the children of Puerto Cabezas. Here's a note from Carolyn: "It (the new roof) is Beautiful! We gave out a dozen baseballs today to some Pastors to give to their "Star" Sunday School Students."
Imagine the Joy of this week's "Star" when he/she is handed a band new baseball from
Praise Cathedral's Championship Softball Teams! Thank You Athletics for Supporting
Missions! Praise Cathedral YOU are making a difference in God's Nicaragua Kingdom!
