Praise Cathedral - Reaching Our World

Praise Cathedral is a missions-minded church, and we support many mission projects locally and around the world. We believe that the call of the church is to save the souls of sinners the world over, and we do that by reaching out to communities both near and abroad.

Mission Projects We Support:

	Puerto Cabezas Nicaragua In 2008 Praise Cathedral's Missions Team introduced us to new missionaries working with the Miskito Indians in Nicaragua. Richard & Carolyn Becton are both pilots spending every other month working in Nicaragua. In January 2009 we sent 12 people to Puerto Cabezas in hopes of building a school for over 135 students. In only 6 work days our team along with many locals were able to corrrect problems with the foundation and complete the school walls to the center support beams. We could list all the miracles that surrounded this project but this page is not long enough. In February 2010 we sent another team to Nicaragua to construct a roof on the Nuevo Jerusalem Church of God. However, God had a different plan in mind. Our team helped the local volunteers level the ground inside the church and complete a concrete floor for the building. Lumber for the roof trusses should be delivered soon for completion of the building by the end of April, 2010. 	Hannah Martin YWAM Cluj-Napoca Romania Praise Cathedral is Hannah's Home Church and we support her efforts in Romania.
	Glad Tidings India Glad Tidings India in partnership with the India Bible Literature marked their 25th anniversary of the literacy ministry developed by Dr. Joyce Scott, the late wife of Dr. William Scott. Since 1984 India Bible Literature has partnered with over 600 churches and Christian social organizations in 23 states and 7 union territories in India to promote literacy and spiritual growth among illiterates; Primers are available in 17 major languages; 23,083 teachers were trained; 570,977 illiterates directly reached, 209,000 illiterates indirectly reached; 140,842 accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior; 51,392 baptized; 70,968 attending church; and 1,471 enrolled in the School of Evangelism. 	Erie City Mission The Erie City Mission is a Christian social outreach program created in 1911 by the famous evangelist, Bill Sunday. Located in Erie, Pennsylvania the Mission offers many programs to serve the local community and continues to expand its care programs. The Erie City Mission programs include the New Life Program, Food Services, Family Care Ministry, the Samaritan Shelter and the Hope Center Addiction Treatment Services. 	Jerusalem Ministry Center In 1997 the Jerusalem Ministry Center began clearing a way for Jewish immigrants returning to Israel. On a daily basis the JMC works with local clinics to provide hearing aids and glasses to elderly immigrants; they purchase household appliances for new immigrants and provide food vouchers for basic food items from local supermarkets; they distribute new and slightly used clothing from the JMC clothing closet. Care packages are given to new parents or expectant mothers including diaper bags, toiletries, bottles, pacifiers, and infant carriers as well as cribs, clothing, toys, blankets, and other items. The JMC partners with other organizations in meeting the needs of many immigrant cancer patients by helping with the high cost of medical treatment and providing for their various medical needs. 	North East Food Pantry The North East Food Pantry is a ministry of the Lay Council of Churches that provides food to low income residents of North East and Greenfiled Townships. Food distributions are on the first four Saturdays of each month from 9:30 a.m. to Noon at 30 Bothel Street. For more information please call 725-9777.
	New Beginnings Church of God, Corry Pennsylvania We support the continuing efforts to grow the New Beginnings Church of God in Corry.
	Internet Outreach We believe that the call of the church is to save the souls of sinners the world over, and our world is becoming increasingly dependent on the internet. Our goal through this internet outreach is to connect believers with current information on Praise Cathedral and our ministries by bringing the church to you...when-ever you need us....where-ever you are....near or far. May God use this website to reach the lost, encourage believers, and increase His Kingdom.
